Soil and Plant Journal publishes original research articles, short communications, and review papers covering both fundamental and applied aspects of soil science. The journal welcomes contributions from all soil science disciplines, including but not limited to pedology, agrochemistry, plant nutrition, soil microbiology and biology, soil fertility and degradation, monitoring and biodiversity, climate change impacts, sustainable and regenerative agriculture, green farming, forest environments, melioration, remediation, soil conservation and contamination, GIS applications, remote sensing, modelling, soil sealing, precision agriculture, greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sequestration, biofuels and biochar, soil–water interactions, soil tillage, land use, food security, and agricultural policies.
Manuscripts are expected to be based on hypothesis-driven research. Articles with a strong molecular or modelling component are also within the scope of the journal.
